Cache Community Food Pantry
Established in 1970, the Cache Community Food Pantry works to end hunger. It currently serves 140 families every week and believes in "emergency assistance today for self-sufficiency tomorrow.
While the pantry does offer limited volunteer opportunities indoors, it's mainly looking for those willing to work outside. Tasks include pruning trees, picking fruits and vegetables, and harvesting spuds from the ground.
Cache Humane Society
For more than forty years, the Cache Humane Society has found permanent homes for cats and dogs. This no-kill shelter was founded in 1976 by area citizens who fostered the animals in their houses and barns. It moved to a 5,000 square foot facility in 2008, and last year, over 1,200 pets found loving families.
The Cache Humane Society has an array of volunteer opportunities with flexible hours. Duties may include doing laundry, assisting visitors, and bathing dogs.
Logan Regional Hospital
Logan is a nonprofit regional hospital that serves the local area as well as southeastern Idaho and western Wyoming. Its roots trace back over 100 years, and the hospital strives to improve the health of our community. The doctors span various specialties and offer highly skilled services.
Over 150 volunteers donate their time every year by assisting both the staff and patients. Placement is made based on one's interests and availability.
