The Brigham Young University's Monte L. Bean Life Science Museum is the perfect place to spend a rainy day and learn a little bit about life science.

The Life Science Museum has been educating the Utah County community since 1978 and is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums. It is also a valuable member of the Natural Science Collections Alliance and houses millions of specimens in nine research collections.
LIVE ANIMAL SHOWS
The Bean Life Science Museum hosts free live animal shows Monday through Friday at 7:30 with additional shows at 6:30 on Monday and 1:00 and 3:00 on Saturday. Shows usually last between 30 and 45 minutes, and all shows include at least three live animals. You may also schedule in-house private shows free of charge. During June, July and August, you may also catch shows at 1:00 and 3:00 on weekdays.

From the great Serengeti of eastern Africa to the many ecosystems of Utah, you are sure to find something of interest at this life science museum. Originally developed by the Natural History Museum of Utah, the Riparian Ecology exhibit invites you to learn about the Provo River drainage. The Quest for Knowledge exhibit is a recent addition that uses advanced touch screen technology to teach intellectuals about the fluidity of the scientific process and method. For bird enthusiasts, the Fred & Sue Morris Bird Gallery will surely not disappoint. This astonishing collection includes over 100 different birds from around the world.
