The Best Fishing Spots in Tucson

Did you know that fishing is a great way to spend time outdoors while at the same time boosting your immune system and improving your cardiovascular health?

When you're ready to reel in your next big catch, the best fishing destinations near our apartments in East Tucson include the following:

Rose Canyon Lake

Located at 7,000 feet in the Santa Catalina Mountains, Rose Canyon Lake is tucked away in a picturesque setting surrounded by towering pines. It offers cool air and spans seven acres with an average depth of 44 feet. Many anglers use worms or power bait, and they can cast a line for both brown trout and rainbow trout. To ensure a great experience, it's best to fish during the week after the regularly posted stocking schedule.

Rose Canyon is known for its beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and visitors can also explore the hiking trails around the lake.

Lakeside Urban Fishing Lake

Found inside Chuck Ford Lakeside Park, Lakeside is one of the state's designated Urban Fishing Program lakes. This program is among the best of its type in the United States, and the lake is stocked up to 24 times annually with trout, sunfish, and catfish. The park opens daily at 6:00 a.m., and anglers can fish from small boats or canoes. At various times throughout the year, visitors can enjoy a variety of fishing clinics and educational programs.

Silverbell Lake

Also part of the Urban Fishing Program, Silverbell Lake calls Christopher Columbus Park home. It's well stocked, and visitors can cast a line for bluegill, crappie, and rainbow trout. There is a daily limit, and canoes and small boats are permitted.

Fishing is just one of the activities you can enjoy if you call Overlook at Pantano home. Please contact us to arrange a tour where our leasing agents can show you our amenities and floor plans firsthand.
