Here are our favorites:
Spencer and Kerstin Block opened the first Buffalo Exchange right here in Tucson in 1974. Kerstin, a native of Sweden, thought the word buffalo sounded American, and since they were creating a fashionable clothing exchange, the store's name was born. The shop began from humble beginnings with just 450 square feet, and today there are locations in twenty states. It allows customers to buy, sell, and trade new and used clothing, and the selection includes pieces for both men and women.
Grand Central Clothing
When Tucson native Kristen Moore needed an outfit for a Metallica concert, she headed to a boutique where her interest in fashion was sparked. Today, she owns Grand Central Clothing which offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and a friendly staff that enjoys outfitting everyone from head to toe. Pieces include dresses, shorts, and gold pendant necklaces.
What started as a small T-shirt shop, is now a full-fledged clothing store called Dress Code. Established by four siblings, it offers attentive service and all of the best brands under one roof. The store has been recognized by both Tucson Weekly and the Arizona Daily Star, and the selection includes boots, long-sleeved shirts, and crewneck sweaters.
George's Men's Clothing
George's is the area's finest men's store, and it features everything from rugged outdoor to elegant offerings. The store has many loyal customers and is renowned for its excellence in style, fit, and value. The friendly staff enjoys answering questions, and the selection includes suits, button-down shirts, and watches.
