Catch a Performance at a Nearby Theater

Whether you enjoy watching comedies or musicals, you can find the best of both at theaters near our Midvale, Utah apartments.

Here are a few of our favorites:

Eccles Theater

Nestled in the heart of downtown Salt Lake, the Eccles Theater is an exciting performance arts center that opened in 2016. Designed by famed architect Cesar Pelli, it features a comfortable 2,500-seat auditorium and an impressive six-story lobby with dramatic retractable glass walls. In its first year, the theater welcomed more than 350,000 patrons, and each season features comedians, musicians, and touring Broadway productions.

Pioneer Theatre Company

The Pioneer Theatre Company is the state's premier professional theater as it offers an array of exceptional productions that stir emotion, challenge the intellect, and ignite the imagination. Since opening, it has hosted numerous Utah premieres and was the first regional theater to earn the rights to produce Les Miserables. There is something for everyone as each season includes a mixture of comedies, contemporary dramas, and large-scale musicals.

Grand Theatre

At the Grand Theatre, the mission is to produce quality community theater and educational outreach programs. The first official production held in the auditorium was Camelot, and the 2018-2019 season will include The Rocky Horror Show, First Date, and To Kill a Mockingbird.

The Off Broadway Theatre

The Off Broadway Theatre opened in 1994 to offer parodies, traditional plays, and improv comedy shows to the people of Salt Lake City and the surrounding communities. It provides opportunities for aspiring playwrights and stage technicians to learn and develop their skills, and upcoming performances include Doctor U, HMS Pinafore, and Dracula vs. Harry Botter.
