The Best Mountain Biking Trails in Cache County
Do you want to pedal through some of Utah's most stunning scenery?
If so, visit these mountain bike trails near our North Logan apartments where you're sure to enjoy an adventure to remember:
Spring Hollow Mountain Bike Trail
Spanning 17.1 miles out and back, Spring Hollow is a steep trail featuring a few switchbacks. Surrounding trees provide shade, and riders find rocky areas along the way. The final climb to the slate field is challenging. Cyclists can either conquer it or turn around to enjoy the fun downhill. This path is best for advanced riders and tops out onto a dirt road near Logan Peak.
Providence Canyon Trail
Providence Canyon is an easier six-mile trail that shines as a downhill. The journey begins at the mouth of Providence Canyon and starts by heading up the gravel road. The path meanders through a dense maple forest and features wooden bridges. Riders enjoy occasional views of the hillside and limestone cliffs that date back to ancient times.
Wheeler Creek Trail
Wheeler Creek is a popular trail that runs from Ogden Canyon to the Ogden Canyon Overlook. Stretching 5.3 miles, the first section is perfect for beginners, while the upper portion requires technical skills. Riders find a fork at the one mile mark. It climbs Icebox Canyon before rejoining Wheeler Creek further uphill. Icebox Canyon is full of towering trees and is substantially cooler than Wheeler.
Cyclists can also connect to the Green Pond Loop Trail. The path offers a picturesque, singletrack ride, and features 1,600 vertical feet of climbing.
