3 Weekend Hotspots in Hanford

If you're looking for something to do this weekend near our Hanford apartments, look no further. Below are three essential locales that you can visit yourself, or show off to visitors.

The best part is that all of them are available year-round to the public!

1. The Hanford Carnegie Museum

There's no better place to learn about Hanford and Kings County's roots. The museum is located centrally within Hanford's downtown, inside a charming historic building. To get the most out of your experience, you may want to look into one of the tours they offer. There are three tours that focus on separate parts of history, and each come with a guide! For example, the Hanford's Beginnings tour focuses on how early townspeople overcame terrible setbacks to establish landmarks such as the Opera House and Whiskey Row.

2. Historic China Alley

Hanford's China Alley was first established all the way back in 1877, and remains a fascinating look into rich Chinese culture without having to leave California. The location boasts many buildings as they were originally built, with minimal restorations done since. China Alley has been called "a city within a city," and any tour of Hanford would be lacking without a visit!

3. Kings Speedway

Do rumbling motors, breathtaking action, cheering crowds, and great food sound exciting? Then you can't miss Kings Speedway. The track is home to frequent races and other events that are open for public enjoyment. There's food and a nearby campground to really make it an all-out experience. There's no better way to get your blood pumping and take part in some local Hanford fun.

These are only a few of the local hotspots that Hanford has to offer, and all are super close to Edgewater Isle apartments. For more information, contact us today!
