Hanford's Best Date Destinations
Hanford is home to plenty of museums, theaters, and restaurants perfect for a date night. Looking for your new favorite spot? Here are four spots for you to check out with that special someone near our Hanford apartments.
The Kings Art Center
The Kings Art Center, located in downtown Hanford, hosts multiple art exhibits from artists across the state and local to Hanford. While you're there, look into one of their private art parties. They provide the art supplies, and for a little extra they offer food and wine.
The Hanford Carnegie Museum
Noted for its unique Romanesque architecture, this museum started as a small library. In the early 1900s, a grant from Andrew Carnegie allowed the building to be expanded. In 1971, the library was scheduled to be demolished, but concerned locals created a petition to save the library. It was then transformed into a Museum to preserve the history! You can walk through the museum or take a guided tour.
The Hanford Fox Theater
This historic theater opened in 1929 and still has the same elegant aesthetic. You'll feel like you stepped back in time when you go to see a screening of a classic movie! They also hold plays and concerts. Performers like Trace Adkins, Bryan Adams, and the Dixie Chicks have all played the Hanford Fox Theater; you can find a list of upcoming events here.
The Thursday Night Marketplace in Downtown Hanford
The Marketplace starts on May 3rd and goes until October 25th every year. It goes from 5:30 to 9:00 p.m. every Thursday, with live music, a wide variety of food, and even a beer and wine garden! You can check out their activity schedule here. Each night has a different theme, and past themes include Family Fun Night, Art in the Park, and Dairy Appreciation Night.
