America’s Favorite Food Day
This Fourth of July, Americans will spend upwards of $500 million on food and drinks. Going by the numbers $92 million of it will be going to chips, $60 million on dip, and $203 million on condiments. Beverages, especially that of the alcoholic kind, are a large chunk of the spending, costing Americans $101 million on soda and a whopping $342 million on beer. The refreshing comforts of watermelons and popsicles that are so essential to cooling off on a hot July afternoon will rack up $167 million and $108 million respectively.
