We know it’s hard not to worry that you’ll get sick during any cold and flu season, but it’s especially hard now with the current Coronavirus. That’s why we’ve compiled these tips from the CDC and World Health Organization to help you keep calm and stay healthy!
  • Avoid contact with people who are sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
  •  Stay home when you’re sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using regular household cleaning sprays or wipes.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  •  If soap and water aren’t available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  • The CDC doesn’t recommend that people who are well wear a face mask to protect themselves from respiratory disease.
  • Avoid spitting in public.
  • If you have a fever, cough, and difficulty breathing, seek medical care early and share previous travel history with your health care provider.

Dear Resident,

In light of the current coronavirus pandemic, Wasatch Property Management is dedicated to safeguarding the health and well-being of all its residents and staff. Your community management team is working to reduce close contact with others by complying with CDC guidelines. As the CDC continues to provide additional information and guidance about the COVID-19 situation, Wasatch will inform you of any changes to keep you and your home healthy. In the meantime, we encourage residents to use the resident online portal at www.isyourhome.com or call into the office to pay rent and submit service requests. Please do not come into the office or any common area spaces if you are not feeling well. We value you as a member of our community and are grateful for your understanding. As a part of the COVID-19 management strategy, we will also be suspending package acceptance in our offices indefinitely. Packages will be able to be delivered to your residences or picked up at the delivery provider's location.

Working from home can be great. But it also presents some interesting challenges. One of which is all the snacking. Eating is just easier when you’re closer to your kitchen. But don’t worry. We’ve compiled a list of the healthiest work from home food for breakfast, snack time, lunch, dinner, and of course, dessert! These recipes will help you feel your best, and did we mention that they’re truly delicious?

#Blueberry Oatmeal Muffins

Muffins taste amazing. But sadly, they’re not normally super healthy. Enter these blueberry oatmeal muffins! They taste great and they have healthier ingredients than your average muffin. And to top it all off, they’ll actually keep you feeling full until lunch.

#Carrot Fries

Carrot fries are healthy, easy to make, and surprisingly delicious. Carrots make a great snack because they’re high in fiber, antioxidants, and potassium. They’re also the perfect thing to tide you over till your next meal.

#Brussel Sprout Chips

This recipe is great because like carrot fries, it takes only about 5 minutes to prepare, and then you just pop them in the oven and let heat do its thing. Brussel sprouts are rich in vitamin K, fiber, and vitamin C. A lot of people don’t love the taste of raw Brussel sprouts, but this recipe will have you craving Brussel sprout chips for days.

#Avocado Egg Salad

Avocados and eggs are a match made in heaven. They’re both full of healthy fats, vitamin K, and antioxidants. Avocado egg salad is easy to make and contains lots of fiber and protein, making it a filling lunch that’s low in sugar and high in flavor.

#Zucchini Enchiladas

We don’t want to overstate how good this recipe is, but once you’ve tried it, you may never go back to regular enchiladas. These zucchini enchiladas are that fantastic. They’re also much healthier for you because zucchinis are low in carbs and are known to improve heart health. Plan for about 20 minutes of prep time and 20 minutes of cook time. One helpful note is if you don’t have enchilada sauce, you can use salsa instead. This recipe also works great as leftovers.

#Peanut Butter Banana Ice Cream

This recipe is just two ingredients! And you won’t believe how delicious it is until you try it for yourself. It’s truly a dessert game-changer. You can also add a small amount of almond milk to help it blend more easily, and a splash of vanilla extract for additional flavor. For a little extra tastiness, add some dark chocolate chips as toppings. Bananas are a great choice for after your meal because they aid digestion and help relieve heartburn.

This summer is looking a little different than previous years. Now more than ever, a staycation might be the perfect way for you and your loved ones to take a much-needed break without actually having to get away. It’s our hope that the tips below will help you plan the staycation of your dreams!

#1. Do all the prep work beforehand.

Make sure your staycation is planned in advance so you don’t have to do any work while you’re in vacation mode. This includes things like cleaning and organizing so your home feels more like a hotel. The little details matter, too. Consider putting out fresh flowers, buying new sheets, a new staycation outfit, or whatever it is that will get you in a vacation state of mind. Make a schedule of activities that you’d like to complete before the end of your staycation. Even if you don’t follow the schedule exactly, it will still help ensure your time is spent doing activities you actually enjoy, rather than wasting time trying to think of what to do next.

#2. Pick a theme.

Picking a theme will help focus your staycation efforts. And, let’s be honest, a theme will make everything way more fun and creative! Some great theme ideas are: Spa Getaway, Summer Camp, European Villa, Food Tour, and whatever else you can come up with! Use playlists to set the scene. There are plenty of camping, European cafĂ©, and relaxing spa playlists on Spotify. Additionally, there are endless virtual museum tours, YouTube yoga classes, and exciting new recipes online.

#3. Set a budget.

One way to set a staycation budget is to first think about how much money you’re saving by staying home as compared to taking a trip. Think about how much you can spend to achieve your ideal staycation while still saving. For example, if you normally spend $1,000 on a vacation, consider all you can do on a staycation with a third of that as your budget. Even $50 – $100 as a budget can help your staycation feel extra special. Put that money towards things like takeout at a new restaurant you’ve been wanting to try, a tent for your living room camping, ingredients for the new recipes you’re going to try, or products for some flawless spa pampering.

#4. Be a tourist in your own city.

You can be a tourist in your city by spending some time in nature or trying all the popular food and drink places around town. Go on that hike or bike trail everyone’s always talking about. Head downtown to pick up some food from the most popular spot in town. Consider trying the things that are well-known in your area that maybe you’ve never tried before because they’re too “touristy.” Oftentimes, things are popular for a reason. Or you might discover that something’s actually overrated, but at least you’ll have tried it. Maybe your town will surprise you and you’ll discover your new favorite spot!

With people working from home now more than ever, we couldn’t think of a better time to share some helpful tips for everyone who’s working remotely from their apartment. Whether you’ve been telecommuting for years, or this is your first time, we hope these remote work tips will inspire you to be your most productive self!

#1. Create a Designated Work Space

Your physical space truly affects your mental space. That’s why it’s so important to designate a specific spot in your home to work from. It’s also important to make sure that space is clean and organized. If it’s not, it distracts your brain from focusing on your important tasks. Clean up your work space every night or in the morning before you start work, and you’ll be amazed how much more efficiently you work. If you get tired of sitting in the same spot for too long, then consider designating two work spots in your house. Perhaps you use your kitchen table in the morning and your desk in the afternoon. Don’t be afraid to try whatever works best for you!

#2. Make a Morning Routine

Everyone’s morning routine looks different. But one thing that’s important is setting a time you start work every day. You can also create a routine that leads up to starting your work day. Maybe that’s as simple as breakfast and a cup of coffee. Or a jog and a shower. It should be something that wakes you up and makes you feel ready to take on the day. That might mean working in pajamas isn’t for you. Some people feel more productive when they’re dressed for success. Some people shine when they’re in comfy clothes. It’s up to you. You can try different things and figure out what gets you feeling motivated to work.

#3. Schedule Breaks

When working from home, it’s important to follow your company’s break time policy. Breaks are an important way to reinvigorate your mind. Maybe that means going for a quick walk around your neighborhood or doing some yoga in your living room. Whatever it is, make sure you’re taking some time throughout the day to step away from your computer screen. If your breaks involve food, try to eat healthy so your brain don’t crash from junk food.

#4. Don’t Overlook Communication

It’s important not to overlook communicating with your team. Working remotely means you can’t pop your head into your boss’ office every time you have a quick question; or if you’re the boss, you can’t check on your team to make sure they’re staying on task. That’s why it’s important to schedule regular check ins to make sure everyone’s on the same page. Communicating with your team is a key factor in staying productive.
